Job Description

- Interact with children in a manner that clearly conveys love and acceptance.
- Respond to children by touching, holding , smiling, and speaking in a positive tone of voice.
- Assist children in developing self-help skills.
- Initiate classroom activities and cooperate with child-initiated activities and explorations.
- Participate in supervising free play and outdoor play.
- Supervise and assist children with clean up.
- Assist and supervise children during toileting period.
- Help teachers with weekly lesson planning.
- Assist teachers with children’s individual assessment forms.
- Keep anecdotal records, under the supervision of the teacher.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
- Participate in family-teacher conferences at teacher’s discretion.

Jobs Requirement

- Be at least 18 years of age ( or as required by law ).
- Have some experience working with young children.
- Be reliable and conscientious in carrying out assigned duties.
- Demonstrate a patient and loving attitude toward young children.
- Be flexible in working with different age groups.
- Must not have been convicted of any offenses as stated in regulations, as required by law.
