	Vacancy Type: Work Experience:1 Age: About Riverkids Riverkids is a secular local non-governmental organization. We work with children and families in danger of abuse and trafficking in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We identify children at high risk because of extreme poverty, drug abuse, alcoholism, gambling, child abuse or other children or family involved in trafficking. We are now looking for a highly talented and motivated candidate to volunteer the positions of: 1- Social Worker (1) 2- Kindergarten Assistants (2) Core responsibilities: 1. Social Worker - Visit families, fulfilled the visit form, prepare list of families visited and do risk assessment of families; follow up. - Coordinated with team and education to register children and youths into Riverkids project; - Collaborate with education team to follow up the children who absent at state school and Riverkids extra-project; - Liaising with, and making referrals to, other agencies; - Organizing and managing packages of support to enable service users to lead the fullest lives possible; - Recommending and sometimes making decisions about the best course of action for a particular service user; - Participating in multidisciplinary teams and meetings regarding, for example, child protection or mental health; - Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for legal action; - Giving evidence in court; - Participating in training, supervision and team meetings. 2. Kindergarten Assistant - Follow up and coach progress learning of children; - Assist Teachers to maintain the day to day class operation; - Assist teachers to conducts energize variety activities and reinforce positive desire behavior to children; - Attend 2nd and 4th weekly meeting on Friday which start from 11 AM to 12 PM; - Help to organize the library to make sure that books and study material are in safe; - Promote and apply child positive discipline to children and team; - Work assist house mother to clean and make sure the class get hygiene when housemother absent; - Cooperate within house mother to prepare and provide food & Snack to children - Get involved in Riverkids activity when needed.

Social Worker - Fresh graduate from university of social science, social sociology , or psychology; - An ability to work effectively, independently and accurately while adhering to strict time frames; - An ability to adapt communication styles to a diverse audience and a complex environment; - Good interpersonal and communications skills; - Well-organized; - Good report writing; - Honest and trustworthy; - Helpful and motivated; - Demonstrates sound work ethics; - Comfortable and warm with children; - Respectful of all women, including sex workers; - Teamwork skills; - Awareness of and commitment to RKF’s vision, mission; - Demonstrate flexibility, versatility and tolerance in a changing work environment; - Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve RKF goals; - Strong, effective communication, and the ability to initiate processes, make decisions, and offer counseling; - Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with using the Internet and Email; - Strong English proficiency is essential; - If can Speak Vietnamese is preferred. 2. Kindergarten Assistant - Advance level of English. - At least one year experience working with children and teenagers. - Strong motivation and being patient, responsible, reliable, creative, and flexible. - Be able to work with vulnerable children in slum communities. - Demonstrate ability to build good relationship, great love and passion to students. - Be able to read and write English. - Be creative and flexible. - Prior work experience as a teacher in an NGO or with children or sex workers - Volunteer work, especially in providing education services - A good command of written and spoken English - Interested in community healthcare and education - Honest and trustworthy - Helpful, motivated - Demonstrates sound work ethics - Comfortable and warm with children - Respectful of all women, including sex workers - Teamwork skills Salary - He/she will be offered $3/day.
