Vacancy Type:Engineer Work Experience: Age:  - Registered with or working towards registration with the Engineering Council - Have undertaken Training Review or other intermediate step to attaining an appropriate professional qualification - Basic Project Management Skills - Competent in Highway Engineering - Broad skills, knowledge and understanding of other design areas - Understanding of H&S Requirements related to Highway Engineering - Broad knowledge of CDM and other H&S legislation - Competent in exercising the Designer’s obligations of CDM - Understanding of Environmental Requirements of Highway schemes - Basic knowledge of Quality Management - Good communication skills - Relevant vocational qualifications (MEng / BEng / BSc / HNC and HND or equivalent) - Detailed knowledge of design codes (DMRB / MCDHW etc) relevant to Highway Engineering - Knowledge of the HA procedures necessary to deliver a Highways project - Knowledge of the use of computer design tools Experience - Appropriate recent experience in Highway Engineering - Recent experience of coordinating interfaces with other disciplines - Recent experience of working in a multi-disciplinary teams - Experience in the design and construction of highways schemes - Strong communications skills to be able to unambiguously communicate targets, and priorities. - Ability to develop relationships and engender trust at all levels of the organisation and with Clients.

职位要求

- To assist the Highways Design Team Leader in ensuring that the Highways Team have adequate training and resources. - To assist the Highways Design Team Leader in managing external resources used by the Highways Team. - To agree the briefs, programmes and budgets with the Highways Design Team Leader and Senior Highways Engineer. - To prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for highways schemes. - To allocate tasks to other members of the Highways Team and monitor progress. - To monitor the designs produced to ensure they meet the design briefs set by the Delivery Teams. - To ensure designs are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence. - To seek innovation in the delivery of schemes and techniques used to design and construct them. - To ensure the quality system is actively applied to all highways schemes.
