	Vacancy Type:Clinical/Laboratory Management Work Experience:5 Age: - The development and implementation of a laboratory structure to ensure uninterrupted lab operations, scientific integrity and validity of test results. - Implementation of qualify control programs for all laboratory activities. - Business development support and strategic planning of new analytical technologies for research, clinical trials testing and analytical services. - Management of laboratory budgets, both restricted and unrestricted. Ensuring effective inventory and procurement systems are in place. - External customer negotiations to assure internal customer support. Able to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions. - Preparation, review, and approval of laboratory SOPs, policies and systems in order to meet accreditation requirements (SLMTA/ISO-15189) as required by the hospital. - Enforcement and prompt corrective action in respect to laboratory audit findings or deficiencies in quality programs. - Laboratory Departmental Liaison during inspections and audits. - Main representative for the laboratory for clinical and research inquiries. Communicating and coordinating with the Ministry of Health and other local or international laboratory networks. - Development of training materials for internal training needs as well as for capacity building initiatives. - Oversight of the database systems for the laboratory. - Knowledgeable of developments and trends in clinical laboratory testing. - Staff management including the hiring, training and development of laboratory and pathology department staff. Note: The Research Laboratory Director would be primarily focused on those activities supporting research, grants, and partner relationships.

	- Medical School graduation or PhD or Masters in laboratory-related sciences - Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated clinical laboratory experience - Demonstrated experience in research or grant administration - Fluent in English
