Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day application and assessment processes for registration and initial and renewable license to practice functions for the five health profession Councils assuring that the registrants who hold the required education qualification/s, meet the “fitness to practice” requirements in order to be registered as a health professional and licensed to practice as a health practitioner;
• Review, verify and validate the required documentation for each application and presenting for decision or refusal by the Council delegate;
• Ensure all registration information are recorded accurately and keep up to date;
• Review and analyze the monthly registration and license to practice reports for the Managing Director, each health profession Council’s president;
• Make sure the registration applications in database are approved by the each health profession council president;
• Issue certificate of registration and license to practice for individual health profession council president to sign;
• Prepare certificate of registration delivery for all registers;
• Conduct random spot check of the name of register for audit trail and clear all pending applications in a timely manner;
• Report regularly to the Managing Director and IT & Database Specialist on complaints/issues/challenges received and identified related to use of registration database.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor degree in Administration, Management, Information System
• Minimum of 3 years of health care experience in Cambodia or have previous experience from one of the health professions.
• Skills and knowledge to effectively work with various computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software (e.g. Power Point), and database programs;
• Experience in developing metrics and quality reports that support the Managing Director and Executive Committee in monitoring that the Joint Secretariat is achieving its desired outcomes;
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, to maintain productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including the Councils, their health professionals, the public and other stakeholders;
• Demonstrated organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail;
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a small team; be pro-active and flexible;
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures and guidelines.
• High level of proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing in English.
