Job Description

  The University is seeking a full-time candidate as the Administrative Officer for the Faculty of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This role oversees the ICT faculty’s
administrative functions, and supports the Vice-Dean of the ICT in ensuring the smooth delivery
and day to day operations of the department’s programs.
 Assist the Vice-Dean of ICT in all administrative matters and perform supporting tasks in
the execution of their teaching, service, and activities in the university
 Develop and implement procedures to ensure continuity of the courses.
 Serve as principal source of information to students and lecturers

The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
- Prioritize and execute academic support tasks assigned by faculty including schedules
management
- Serve as point of contact for students and lecturers for administrative purposes
- Collect information from lecturers to keep updated the courses content base, course
curriculum, syllabus, scores
- Follow-up on the attendance and check time sheets
- Support on the preparation of events and social activities
- Build effective working relationships with other departments and faculties
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments as requested
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the university’s management team

Job Requirements

  1. Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience as Administrative Officer or similar role
2. Education:
- Bachelor Degree or other relevant degrees
3. Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Demonstrated ability to make independent judgement and work under pressure
4. Personal Qualities
