Job Description

  DUTIES
• Guest Reservation: Submit offers and recommendations to individual customers, and confirm reservations in a timely manner, follow-up on proposals and keep track of confirmed bookings, make sure all bookings are recorded correctly in the PMS, both in a professional English and Khmer language
• Check-in/Out: Provide an efficient and precise check-in and check-out process, always in a friendly and welcoming manner, make sure all sales and payment-transactions are posted correctly in the PMS. Take ownership of mistakes and report inconsistency.
• Day Closing: Fulfil daily administrative tasks and make sure all reports and operational processes are respected according to the standards. Report deviations to the superior and take initiatives to correct errors. Take responsibility of the payments and cash flows during your shift.
• Customer Interaction: Anticipate guest’s needs and offer a warm, welcoming and personalized service. Listen actively to the customer, go the extra mile and take ownership of personal wishes of the customer.
• Colleague Interaction: Share knowledge and be supportive to colleagues within your department. Interact positively with your peers throughout the Farmhouse and Smiling Gecko.
• Working Attitude: Show a positive and interactive work attitude and actively help to further develop your working environment. Communicate at all times in a positive manner to all team members.
• Act as ambassador: Act as an ambassador of Farmhouse Smiling Gecko and always talk in a positive way within your private community outside your workspace.
• Confidentiality: All data of the customer, the employer, and the work place are strictly confidential. You may not disclose any information to third parties.

Job Requirements

  REQUIREMENTS
• Sound familiar with working in either good restaurants or luxurious hotels in Service Department
• Very good interpersonal skills, friendly and honest
• A few years’ experience working as a Front Desk Manager/Senior Supervisor

SMILING GECKO SWITZERLAND

Smiling Gecko Switzerland (SGS) was established in 2012 as a not-for- profit organization under Swiss
law. It provides direct aid in the form of finance and other support to the needy in Cambodia, sponsoring
projects that are sustainable both from an ecological and economic standpoint. Smiling Gecko is a non-
governmental organization engaged in a number of development and aid projects. These include
humanitarian projects assisting children, families and village communities through campaigns and / or
direct aid; mediation services, bringing the people behind projects (or the relevant sponsors) into
contact with potential donors; allocation of donations according to the wishes of the donors;
information for donors on the progress of projects and how their money is spent. Meanwhile, SGS is
partnering with a network of esteemed Swiss institutions who sustain our projects by supplying financial
funds and lending them their specific know-how and / or by taking on such responsibilities as planning,
design, training, coordination and controlling both in Switzerland and Cambodia.

SMILING GECKO CAMBODIA

In 2014, Smiling Gecko Cambodia (SGC) was officially registered as a local NGO in Cambodia. SGC is legally
independent of Smiling Gecko Switzerland. Following its mission of “Cambodians help Cambodians”, the
organization provides direct aid to disadvantaged people in the country, supporting local job initiatives and
promoting self-help among the local population. Apart from providing direct aid and supporting other NGOs,
Smiling Gecko therefore focuses on fighting the causes of poverty and helping people to help themselves. To
this end, SGC launched a project on a previously acquired site to the North of Phnom Penh whose objective is to provide several thousand Cambodians with future job training and a regular income in the sectors of agriculture, tourism, industry, and trade.
