Job Description

  • Lead and implement the sustainable delivery of SDP content strategy encompassing
both commercial and non-commercial mixed media content (videos, articles, photo
stories etc)
• Develop metrics, monitor and evaluate the performance of content at individual,
channel, team and strategic levels in line with content goals
• Communicate and inspire content teams and other staff in the company vision for content
• Monitor and analyze industry best practice globally and locally, including content
activities of competitor websites and products.
• Establish and ensure timeframes and schedules for content delivery are met; determine
priorities to assign and delegate as necessary to manage appropriate workloads
• Work closely with finance, set and monitor content team budgets; project and review income from commercial sources; make adjustments and recommendations as required
• Provide guidance to content creation and production teams on:
○ Improving the quality of content in line with strategy and organisational goals
○ Making or adjust content to be relevant and appealing to Cambodian audiences
○ Repurposing content for different mediums including social media and video
○ Where opportunities exist to innovate ahead of the industry
• Team management of content creative staff including recruitment, performance
management, workload distribution, role modelling, mentoring and support
• Collaborate with other teams internally including social media, business development, client servicing teams etc to determine reasonable deliverables and time frames,
brainstorm content strategies for clients, highlight opportunities to adjust format or
style to attract commercial sponsorship
• Determine the tone, style and target audience for all company channels; decision making
where necessary on where content should be posted if it serves multiple channels
• Working closely with Publishing, Social Media and Development teams, review
analytics and identify trends to enhance content performance and traffic
• In conjunction with Publishing team, decide where necessary on what content should
be commissioned, prioritised, boosted, cross posted
• Create content representing company’s opinion and values such as op-Eds, brand or social
messages
• Manage and enhance the reputation of company(trust and integrity) and our core
beliefs/value messages
• Ensure that legal and ethical standards of content are upheld (e.g portrayal of women,
copyright)
• Identify, monitor, mitigate and resolve risks to staff (i.e. travelling to location, privacy,
etc)
• Review and approve any content that might be considered sensitive or detrimental to
company’s reputation or security
• Represent company at corporate and external forums as required

Job Requirements

  • This post is open to Cambodian Nationals only
• Appropriate degree qualifications in media, journalism, communications, or related
discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years’ experiences in journalism, creative writing, content creation, or similar;
Experience delivering branded content campaigns across social and online video
platforms an asset
• Demonstrated professional progression in responsibility and capacity of content creation including team management
• Ability to think strategically, execute quickly, and drive objectives toward meeting a
common goal
• Ability to think holistically about creative across all platforms
• Solid understanding of online and social platforms (how they function, trends etc) and Cambodian audiences (usage, interests etc) as well as a passion for online video and social media
• Proven ability in leading teams to achieve organisational goals/objectives with a focus on
performance and continuous improvement
• Ability to set and manage budgets and timelines efficiently
• Commitment to and ability to collaborate with other teams to ensure the best use of resources (people, finance and assets) to achieve outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in multi-cultural and linguistically diverse settings
• High level of clear written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Khmer and
English. Chinese, Thai and French an asset.
