Job Description

  • Determine and deliver strategies for growing the audience of Sabay’s channels
• Plan, deliver and evaluate media content plans for commercial and non-commercial purposes, including creating content and series
• Oversee, proof and edit content
• Provide guidance to content creators on:
 Concepts, angles and stories that better suit target audiences
 Improving the quality of content in line with strategy and organisational goals;
 Repurposing content for different mediums including social media and video
• Establish and ensure timeframes and schedules for content delivery are met; determine priorities to assign and delegate as necessary to manage appropriate workloads;
• Collaborate with other teams internally including creative, production, publishing, social media, and client servicing teams etc to determine reasonable deliverables and time frames, brainstorm content strategies for clients, highlight opportunities to adjust format or style to attract commercial sponsorship
• Team management of content creative staff including recruitment, performance management, workload distribution, role modelling, mentoring and support
• Commission content including oversight of contracts and performance of freelancers and talent
• Actively contribute to planning and management meetings
• Represent Sabay at corporate and external forums


Job Requirements

  • Track record in quality content creation, preferably with a family, lifestyle, romance, travel or fashion focus
• Excellent skills in editing and identifying how to make content appealing to Cambodian audiences
• Current knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (particularly Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Instagram) and the use by Cambodians, primarily focusing on youth and women
• Passion for digital content and interest in online and social media platforms
• Proven ability in Microsoft Office and online tools such as WordPress and Search Engine Optimisation
• Strong time management skills, able to manage multiple people and projects simultaneously and autonomously
• Able to manage the workflow and performance of a team of content creators to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Commitment to and ability to collaborate with other teams to ensure the best use of resources (people, finance and assets) to achieve outcomes
• Team player who can build effective relationships across teams. Flexible and adaptive to negotiate and respect various stakeholders’ priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in multi-cultural and linguistically diverse settings
• High level of clear written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Khmer and English. Other languages (Thai, Chinese, etc) an advantage.
• Bonus: photography and video creation skills or experience
