Job Description

  • Collaborating with Commercial team and be an active sparring partner/co-pilot to the business
• Ensuring high quality profitability analysis in order to make the right decisions – both from a short term and a long-term perspective and in a strategic context.
• Ensure high quality and compliance in month end close reporting for commercial PL lines in line with Group guidelines.
• Offer guidance and advice regarding accounting treatment on Commercial finance related matters
• Drive and develop OCM routines among commercial team
• Support and take active participation in Pricing process
• Identify, evaluate risks and address commercial team for mitigation plan
• Assisting in establishing short- and long-range commercial department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Performing advanced financial analysis, recommend actions and ensure that all decisions are made with the best interest of the company and leading the ROI thinking in commercial department
• Support development and preparation of the full Annual Planning and Estimates Governance Cycle for the business
• Support Commercial and Marketing Management Team with analyzing and identifying opportunities for top line growth
• Act as a key part of the decision-making process for broader commercial decisions (commercial investments, divestment, sales and marketing agreements)
• Monitor and develop insight on the quantitative and qualitative performance of the Sales and Marketing department, and communicate this insight through the preparation and delivery of streamlined reporting including commentary and KPIs
• Analyse Sales and Marketing Opex spend and offer appropriate challenge to identify cost saving opportunities
• Support and identify value enhancing opportunities as part of Demand meetings in S&OP cycle
• Complete analysis/ business cases for NPIs
• Support preparation of monthly Marketing Spend commitment report (ATL, & BTL)
• Champion the efficiency and effectiveness of all related financial and business processes, measuring and reporting on improvements

Job Requirements

  • University graduate or above in relevant discipline, and master’s degree preferable
• 5+ years relevant experience in sizable business, controlling experience preferred
• FMCG experience is preferred
• CPA, ACCA or other accounting qualification holders preferred.
• Experience from multinational companies and working in matrix structures.
• Broad business and commercial understanding.
• Ability to focus on long-term objectives balanced with the right short-term actions in order to execute and achieve business goals.
• Ability to think strategically but also focus on tactical and operational issues
• High level of numerical and analytical skills
• Strong business acumen and ability to deliver Finance strategy linked to the Business strategy.
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets and product-line profitability analysis.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Technical knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and standards, including stock exchange requirements, company law, and International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Organized, responsive, able to work under pressure and to focus on delivering results
• Strong leadership capabilities and ability to empower and develop people.
• An inspiring leader with excellent influencing ability and communication skills.
• Analytical skills to utilize BI and ERP tools for data mining.
• Familiar with ERP system (NAV, SAP or Oracle preferable)
• Good working knowledge of Excel & Powerpoint
• Good command of English
