Job Description

  - Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- To obtain minimum of three quotations from the suppliers for each item to be purchased.
- To ensure better prices are obtained.
- To suggest means and ways of reducing costs without effecting the quality and standard of the hotel.
- To take full responsibility in ordering goods on all approved Purchase Orders/Purchase requests.
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment before seeking management approval.
- Liaise with finance office for payment after management approval.
- Control department purchasing budgets.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- Review, evaluate according to management approved specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying materials and supplies for daily operations.
- Prepare monthly reports on expenses and utilization.
- Arrange for disposal of write-off materials.
- Other task assign by management

Job Requirements

  - Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement
- Good financial knowledge and ability to work with budgets
- Computer literate, with good MS Excel skills
- Good time management and organization skills
- Accountable and resilient
- Ability to work under pressure at all times

** SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in general office administration when require
